ICD welcomes 1000th student at High Tech Safari

Innovation Cluster Drachten frequently organises Safari’s where students and professionals meet. The programme consists of lectures and presentations, followed by a tour of the participating companies. This often fits in well with their interests and education. With the Safari’s, ICD aims to let students following a technological education and people with work experience learn more about the innovations in the field of technology in the Northern Netherlands. The companies aim to raise awareness and recruit talented people for various positions and internships within their company.
In de periode voor Corona waren er zo’n honderden studenten bij de ICD-bedrijven op bezoek geweest. Tijdens de pandemie vonden er geen fysieke evenementen plaats, maar sinds maart 2022 kon dat weer en hebben in 1 jaar tijd alweer 1000 studenten onze Safari’s bezocht. Reden te meer om even stil te staan bij het feit dat we deze week de duizendste student mochten verwelkomen bij onze High Tech Safari voor de Hochschule Emden-Leer. De groep bestond uit studenten die een opleiding in Industrial Automation & Datascience volgen met als thema Robotics. De deelnemende bedrijven waren Philips, FMI, XPARVision, Sparck Technology, BD, Beenen en Ventura, die Robotica in hun productie gebruiken of dergelijke producten ontwikkelen. De feedback die de studenten achteraf gaven was positief; ze vonden het programma heel inhoudelijk en interactief.
