You will get the opportunity to lead and/or participate in various projects related to Innovation and/or Operations at Philips in Drachten. We challenge you to further develop your talents and gain experience in a technical environment. You will have the opportunity to make a difference in helping Philips to improve the lives of 3 billion people each year by 2025.

You are responsible for

We have internship (thesis and non-thesis) opportunities in various departments within Operations and Innovation & Development (departments such as: Site Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Product Research, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, System Engineering, Data Analytics, development quality, etc.). Based on your ambition we will try to find a suitable landing spot. Please highlight in your letter of motivation what you want to achieve during your internship and what your ambition is. Also share your CV/resume and/or portfolio with us.

To succeed in this internship

We are looking for students that are currently studying for a Bachelor or Master's degree in for example one of the following directions; product development, AI, Mathematical Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Business Analytics, Human Technology, Process management, Technology and Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Physics, Chemistry, Materials Engineering, Software Technology or related technical study. 

In addition, we are looking for someone with the following competences:

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills combined with a strong drive;
  • Communication and interpersonal skills to interact in and around your team;
  • Curious and enthusiastic creative mind set;
  • Sufficient spoken and written English to get the job done.

Our internal remuneration package:

  • Monthly full-time allowance between €500 – €900 gross, depending on educational level and if you would need to relocate to The Netherlands. If you perform a part-time internship, you will receive the allowance pro-rata;
  • Housing compensation, in case of relocating to the vicinity of the office, €300,- net if location is in the vicinity of Amsterdam, €255,- net for all other Philips locations. You need to provide a rental contract from the landlord, and your normal home-work travel distance need to be more than 50 km or travel time (one way trip) need to be more than 1.5 hours;
  • Travel compensation, if you are not eligible for a free public transport card; you will receive max. €145 net;
  • Paid holidays per internship term;
  • The opportunity to buy Philips's products at our Philips shop.
