At Ventura, door systems are made for city buses that are built all over the world and also drive around. These door systems consist of a number of main components, 250 of which are assembled every day. The new innovative way of working and the ambitions to develop at Ventura have ensured that suppliers no longer supply door profiles, but entire door frames. This relieves production and logistics of picking door profiles and building them. This has resulted in fewer actions and the process has become more effective.

Due to starting a new project within Ventura, we are looking for an intern who will start selecting screwed frames. This order stems from the fact that the logistical supply of frames has shown that the suppliers offer the frames on the trolleys in a different order than we pick the glass at our glass and rubber department. This results in extra steps in production. A solution must be devised for this so that the malfunctions in the process are resolved and the quality of both suppliers and internally can be increased.

What are you going to do?

During this assignment you will examine the dimensions of all types of frames that come in at Ventura. You need this information so that you can later make a design to offer all types of frames within Ventura. You will be supported in this by your supervisor.

The assessment of the research is done on completeness, professionalism and objectivity. With the aim that Ventura Systems can use it for its policy.
