Internship EBCMOS characterization

Geplaatst op: 18-05-2020
Roden

Photonis is looking for a student who will characterize the sensor of our EBCMOS digital sensor, able to see in deep dark conditions.

PHOTONIS is a leading multinational high-technology group, manufacturing electro-optic components used in the detection of ions, electrons and photons. We innovate and engineer quality components for integration into a variety of applications such as night vision optics, digital cameras, mass spectrometry, physics research, space exploration and many others.

     INTERNSHIP

     EBCMOS characterization

Context

In PHOTONIS Netherlands, based in Roden, we develop digital cameras for use under low light conditions.

One of our innovative sensors, the EBCMOS, uses a photocathode to transform light into electrons. These electrons are accelerated towards a backside bombarded CMOS and turned into a digital signal. This is a fully digital sensor, able to see in deep dark conditions.

purpose of this internship is to characterize and where possible optimize all of the elements of this sensor. It will require a good understanding of Physics as well as a hands-on approach in building and using test equipment and software.

The Job

The subject of the proposed internship is to characterize and optimize the performance of our EBCMOS sensor.

We offer

A full time internship in a booming high-tech company

Requirements

You are a student with a knowledge of physics, instrumentation and programming

CV and cover letter in English to be sent to HRM, PHOTONIS: hrm@nl.photonis.com
