HTCC: SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT FOR MEASUREMENT TOOLS
Geplaatst op: 11-11-2019 | Solliciteren voor: 01-12-2019
A new shaver needs to live up to the expectations of the consumer: it needs to be fast and the shave needs to be close while still feeling comfortable on the skin. During the development, we want to know how our new shaver is performing. However, measuring the performance is not trivial and we are constantly trying to improve our functional measurement tools.
One of the improvements is to make the tools easier to use to prevent mistakes from happening. Currently there are different software packages needed to operate and control the setups, but they are not integrated and it results in lots of small mistakes. We would like to have the software integrated in a single Python (preferably, or Matlab) environment, and preferably have a GUI to control the setup.
This assignment will involve finding out how to integrate the software packages with Matlab or Python, understanding the current code and restructuring it, and making a GUI for easy control.
TASK DESCRIPTION/FUNCTION WISHES
Improve usability of a functional measurement tool by:
Integrating different software packages and creating API’s for existing tools
Re-organize the existing code to increase maintainability
Making a GUI to control the setup
