INTERNSHIP: Image fusion
Vacature van Photonis
Mathematics Programming Experimentation
At PHOTONIS Netherlands, based in Roden, we develop sensors and cameras for use under low light conditions.
One of our new camera developments aims to incorporate two sensors each targeted at a different spectral range and to combine their inputs into a single “best of both worlds” output. One example of this is combining the visible light spectrum with the UV light spectrum, to observe power breakdown at high voltage masts for (preventive) maintenance. Another one is to combine the visible spectrum with the long wave infrared spectrum to break camouflage in military applications.
The purpose of this internship is to build image datasets, investigate existing algorithms applied to those, and to develop new improved algorithms. This will require a good understanding of mathematics, programming and hands-on experimentation.
JOB DESCRIPTION / JOB WISHES
The subject of the proposed internship is to design an efficient algorithm for fusing sensor data.
A fulltime internship in a booming high-tech company.
You are a student with a knowledge of mathematics, programming and experimentation.
