You will be participating in the SME Molding at Philips Drachten, where you get the opportunity to work on the following assignment:
Problem description of assignment
At the molding department we are working on the change towards autonomous production. For our visual parts we now use operators to do visual checks, which would be nice to change to automatic 80% checks (A and B mistakes) by low budget cameras and discriminate the wrong parts from the good parts.
Goal of this assignment
Finding solutions with low budget AI cameras, as example Keyence VI4 in a setup that can filter out wrong parts and feed information back to the Manufacturing information system to trigger thresholds for process control.
We are looking for
We prefer students to be able to start per month/ year for a minimum of 6 months
To succeed in this role, you study towards your Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering/ Mechatronics and have the following skills and experience:
- Fluent in Dutch and English (written and verbal)
- Team player, passionate for results and people.
- Hands on mentality, team player and result driven.
