Due to expansion of the production environment at Variass Electronics in Veendam, we have a vacancy for an Assembly Team Leader with experience in mechatronics and/or electronics. In this position you will be responsible for a new assembly team of about 10 to 12 mechanics. You are the connecting link between assembly, head of production and engineering.
Your role
As an Assembly Team Leader, you ensure that production orders are realized efficiently and on schedule. You will also be the one who assembles the new products or cabinets first and according to our customers' instructions. We assemble complete parts/cabinets that are part of our clients' products. Our clients work in the Defense, Industry and Medical industry.
What are you going to do
As a team leader/co-operating foreman, you will be responsible for:
- Leading a team of approximately 10-12 mechanics, you are the connecting link within the team
- Motivating and guiding your team members, through your personal attention you know how to make the team grow
- Conducting coaching calls and absence and development interviews with your employees
- Preparing and producing prototypes, ensuring optimal reproducibility of products
- Monitor the progress of production orders and you continuously look at how we can improve the production process
- Oversee quality, productivity and scheduling
- Actively participate in electronics and mechatronics assembly
What are you bringing
For this position we are looking for a practical-minded team leader with mechatronics knowledge and leadership experience. As team leader you will ensure a pleasant working atmosphere and take responsibility for your position.
Education and experience
- MBO+ working and thinking level (preferably mechatronics, electronics or similar )
- Experience in electronics assembly or mechatronics manufacturing
- Experience managing a small team is a plus
- Preferably experience assembling (wiring) defense products
