IT'S Vision specializes in the development and production of electro-optical, infrared, and thermal camera systems for applications in defense, security, and industrial automation. From night vision systems and high-dynamic-range cameras to multispectral and fusion systems: our solutions are used in situations where reliability and performance are of critical importance.

Research & Systems Engineer

What are you going to do?

The Research & Systems Engineer is responsible for researching, designing, and integrating complex systems within advanced camera and observation systems. The role focuses on analyzing technical challenges, developing prototypes, and advising engineering teams on system architecture and integration.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Researching new technologies and components for application in camera systems.
  • Designing system architectures and integration plans for hardware and software components.
  • Performing simulations, analyses, and experiments to evaluate system behavior.
  • Developing and testing prototypes and proof-of-concepts.
  • Advising engineering teams on system choices, trade-offs, and optimizations.
  • Documenting research results, analyses, and system designs.
  • Collaborate with clients on technical evaluations and functional specifications.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of systems and development processes.

Who are we looking for?

You are a pragmatic engineer who enjoys working in an innovative environment where development, testing, production, and service are closely interconnected.

In addition, you possess:

  • HBO/WO working and thinking level.
  • Good knowledge of systems engineering, modeling, development, and integration of hardware and software components within embedded systems.
  • Practical insight into optical, electronics, and sensor technologies, with a specific preference for infrared and thermal applications.
  • Strong ability to systematically, accurately, and pragmatically structure and solve complex technical issues.
  • Results- and collaboration-oriented within multidisciplinary teams, combined with a curious and innovative attitude towards new technologies.
  • Communicatively skilled towards clients and strong in clearly presenting and documenting research results and recommendations.

Experience with camera, sensor, vision, or embedded systems is a plus, but not required.
