Kor Visscher, chairman of Innovatiecluster Drachten, is proud that Ventura Systems joins as a new partner. "With their innovative way of working and their excellent technology, they are a great addition to our business cluster."

Ventura currently produces 15,000 bus doors a year with just under 100 employees. ,,Our doors go all over the world'', says Bas de Nooijer, commercial director and co-owner of Ventura Systems. For the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, the company has won a prestigious contract from car maker Toyota. “We supply the doors for the new buses that will run during the Olympic Games. These are hydrogen-powered buses and true masterpieces of innovative technology. This is a great opportunity for us to show what we have to offer.”

Share expertise

According to De Nooijer, joining a high-tech business cluster is a wonderful step. ,,The companies of Innovatiecluster Drachten worldwide supply products with the latest and most innovative technology.'' De Nooijer is delighted to belong to the cluster and is eager to share expertise. “As a member of the cluster, we want to actively commit ourselves to bringing technicians to the North and retaining technology students for our region. In this way we contribute to the economic growth of the Northern Netherlands.” Ventura only expects more work in the future, due to the greater need for public transport in growing world cities.
