On March 18, 2014 Delta Instruments officially joined the Innovatiecluster Drachten as the ninth member. On behalf of Delta Instrumenst, Anne Gerben Terpstra (R&D manager) and Mirjam Kip (HRM manager) were present at the TEL fair in Leeuwarden to ratify the cooperation with a signature.

Delta Instruments B.V., part of the American company Advanced Instruments Inc. is a renowned company engaged in the development and production of dairy analysis equipment. It uses advanced infrared spectrometry to determine the chemical composition of dairy products. Flow cytometry is used to determine the concentration of biological components (somatic cells and bacteria). Worldwide distribution of this equipment is done through a global dealer network. The customers for this equipment are dairy-related companies and institutions that use this equipment to meet the high quality requirements in the dairy chain. Innovation and product development are spearheads in Delta Instruments' strategy. Accordingly, R&D investments amount to 25% of total sales.
