At Philips Drachten, we are looking for a Operations Manager Molding & Decoration. In this challenging role, you are responsible for the complete management and further development of our injection molding and decoration processes. You provide direction to a crucial link within our production organization and ensure that high-quality products are manufactured efficiently, safely, and according to the highest quality standards. You are responsible for
if Operations Manager Molding & Decoration you are responsible for the daily management and strategic development of the Molding & Decoration value stream. You create an environment centered around performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement, and in which employees are encouraged to bring out the best in themselves.
- You are responsible for the performance of the entire value stream in terms of safety, quality, delivery reliability, and cost.
- Ensures optimal utilization of people, resources, and processes within a complex production environment.
- Actively contributes to the further implementation and assurance of LEAN and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
- Promotes a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
- Analyzes performance based on data and KPIs such as OEE, productivity, quality, and lead time, and translates insights into concrete improvement actions.
- Works closely with colleagues from Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Quality, R&D, and Product Management to realize successful product introductions and process improvements.
- Acts as a coach, mentor, and inspiring leader for a multidisciplinary team of professionals.
Your team
Your team consists of approximately 120 FTEs, you have 5 direct reports, and you report to the Site Leader/Plant Manager.
To be successful in the role, you need the following qualities
You combine technical expertise with strong leadership skills and know how to guide teams through change and improvement. You draw energy from developing people, improving processes, and achieving tangible results.
In addition, you bring:
- A completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a comparable technical field.
- Demonstrable experience within a production environment with a strong focus on iinjection molding.
- Experience in leading, developing, and coaching teams.
- Experience with implementing and further developing TPM, LEAN and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
- Strong analytical skills, a data-driven way of working, and a can-do mentality.
- The ability to translate complex operational challenges into sustainable improvements.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to connect stakeholders at all levels.
- You speak fluent Dutch and English.

Employment Conditions & Compensation
Meaningful work deserves fair and transparent compensation. The salary range for this position is € 78,187 to € 130,312 gross per year. We determine your salary within this range based on objective factors, such as the skills required for the position, your relevant experience, and the responsibilities you will have in this role. We also take internal equity and local market conditions into account. This position includes a bonus scheme of % (department 70), where the payout is tied to KPIs and company results.
