About the Assignment

Are you passionate about innovation, user-centered design, and product development? Join our dynamic R&D Male Grooming team for a 6-month internship where you'll contribute to the next generation of grooming solutions. This assignment offers a unique opportunity to work on real-world challenges, from identifying user needs to developing functional prototypes.

We are currently focusing on improving the function of a hair removal device. Your work will directly contribute to enhancing user experience and product performance in this area.

Your Challenge

As an intern, you will be involved in the full cycle of product development. Your main objectives will include:

  • User Research: Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to identify unmet user needs and pain points in the male grooming domain.
  • Function Development: Translate user insights into innovative product functions and features, with a focus on improving hair removal performance.
  • Prototyping: Design and build working prototypes to validate concepts and demonstrate feasibility.
  • Validation Testing: Plan and execute tests to evaluate the performance and reliability of your prototypes.
  • Iteration: Apply the Build-Measure-Learn loop to continuously refine your concepts based on test results and user feedback.
  • Critical to Quality (CTQ) Analysis.: Identify and define key parameters that are essential to product performance and user satisfaction.

You'll work closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, designers, and researchers, and gain hands-on experience in a high-tech, collaborative environment.

Your Profile

We are looking for a motivated and curious student who is eager to learn and contribute. You should have:

  • A background in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, Product Development, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Experience or interest in user researchprototyping, and validation testing.
  • A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Good communication skills in English (Dutch is a plus).
