Your role
As Material Calculator, you are the connecting link between engineering, procurement and project management. You ensure that projects have the right materials available at the right time and that costs are reliably estimated. Together with colleagues - such as engineers and project leaders - you will dive into technical specifications of printed circuit boards and mechanical parts.
You will contribute to successful projects by:
- Analyzing technical drawings and bills of materials (BOMs).
- Requesting and comparing quotes from different suppliers.
- Collaborate with engineering and procurement to arrive at the best choices.
- Record your calculations and explanations clearly for the project team.
- Identifying savings opportunities in materials and processes.
You will work closely with your team of seven colleagues and other departments.

What are you bringing?
- MBO+ / HBO working and thinking level, for example through a completed technical education or relevant experience in calculation or purchasing.
- Affinity for engineering, such as mechanical and/or electronic components.
- You enjoy working practically with figures, drawings and parts lists.
- You can work well independently and actively seek cooperation.
- You have a good command of both Dutch and English.
