The Service Engineer is the connecting link between our customers/distributors and our after sales activities.
Key responsibilities in this role:
- You will assist end customers and distributors with technical questions and breakdowns of machines and systems, including more complex problems.
- You will be the technical point of contact for distributors and advise them on After Sales work to improve service to end customers.
- You identify areas for improvement from customer requests and work with colleagues and other departments on technical solutions, modifications and improvements, and actively provide input for new and further developed products.
- You will participate in project teams of complex projects, including kick-off meetings, quality checks and functional takeaways prior to product delivery.
- You will develop and maintain technical documentation, manuals, knowledge bases and training, and actively share your knowledge with colleagues and distributors.
- You will coordinate complex repairs and modifications, directing colleagues or service teams on site.
What do we ask of you?
Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in a technical environment, preferably within the mechanical or hydraulic sector.
- You have HBO working and/or thinking level and a technical background.
- You are analytically strong, customer-oriented and have communication skills.
- You are independent, structured and easily switch between different tasks.
- You have sufficient command of the English and German languages
- You are willing to travel occasionally, such as for an important training or complex on-site breakdown.
