Northern Netherlands leads the way in high-tech sensor development. To further combine this strength, the Innovatiecluster Drachten (ICD) hosted the first session of the new ICD Focus Group High Tech Sensoring.
The northern Netherlands is home to relatively many companies that develop or integrate sensor technology into high-tech systems. Knowledge institutions such as the University of Groningen, NHL Stenden and the Hanze University are active with research in this area. From that shared expertise came the initiative to bring companies and researchers together. Goal: get to know each other, exchange professional knowledge and explore together opportunities for innovation and cooperation.

The kick-off consisted of two inspiring presentations:

The session drew 16 participants, a nice turnout that underscores the strong interest in the topic.
The ICD Focus Group High Tech Sensoring is open to all northern companies and researchers working with sensors within the electromagnetic spectrum. Smaller companies are also welcome to join. Sensor development is complex - and it is precisely by sharing knowledge that we strengthen each other.
Do you recognize yourself in this field? Or do you have questions about sensor development? If so, please contact Joost Krebbekx. Participating companies are open to collaboration and happy to share their expertise.
