On Thursday morning, January 22, the ICD received Bas Dijkmann, the new Site Leader of Philips Drachten. He was accompanied by Marloes de Vos, Vice Site Leader at Philips, and Pascal Homan, who represents Philips on the steering committee of the ICD.
Introduction and presentations in the Skill building
Joost Krebbekx introduced the ICD in the Skill building. After this, Arend Hiddema of Exosens and Hilbrand Wijbenga by Ventura Systems their fine international companies and innovations in the product portfolio.
Visit to BD and demonstration of high-tech systems
The company then visited the ICD company BD Kiestra. Here lit Lars de Groot (Demcon) from the Groningen office explained their strategy. He also demonstrated recent high-tech systems.
Transformation and vision from the R&D Center
Afterwards, it gave Jaap Oudman of BD Kiestra a presentation and tour of the R&D Center, in which he outlined the transformation from family business to international player and highlighted the high-tech vision as regional innovation from the ecosystem.
Meeting with young technical talent
Coincidentally, the Safari of the NHL Stenden students was also at BD Kiestra at that time (See photo below right), so Bas and Marloes were able to observe with their own eyes that 50 technical business students were being shown around with full attention.
Positive impression and appreciation
Bas thanked everyone for the introduction with the words: ‘I am impressed with these ICD companies and their innovations. The pride radiates from them - that's great to see!’
