Our business unit Demcon industrial systems (DIS) develops and realizes a wide variety of projects for the (complex) mechanical engineering market. Projects range from a partial development or a proof of principle setup to complete machines and total system solutions for our industrial clients.
For our branch in Groningen, we are looking for a versatile, enthusiastic, junior software engineer.
What are you going to do?
As a junior software engineer, you work on a wide variety of technical challenges. You are part of a multidisciplinary team and involved in various projects. You have direct contact with colleagues from your own and other fields of expertise.
The emphasis is on elaborating concepts and the development, testing, and commissioning of machine controls. For this, you will use BRIX, our machine control platform based on TwinCAT 3 and Beckhoff hardware.
In addition, you may be deployed on software-related projects at the intersection of machine control, machine vision, data science, and artificial intelligence. This gives you the opportunity to develop yourself in a wide range of technologies and applications within advanced mechatronic systems.
What are you bringing?
- A completed bachelor's or master's degree in a software-related technical field;
- Broad and inquisitive interest;
- Affinity with software engineering;
- Experience with object-oriented software development is a plus;
- Experience with TwinCAT 3 and Beckhoff is a plus.
