Will you help build the future of medical technology?

At Waters Drachten, we're working on something that truly matters. We develop and produce innovative, automated laboratory machines used worldwide in the fight against diseases and antibiotic resistance.

As an Assembly Specialist, you play a key role in this process: you ensure that our high-quality systems are flawlessly assembled and tested.

What are you going to do?

In this role, you will be responsible for assembling complex sub-assemblies and modules. You work accurately, follow technical drawings, and ensure that every part meets our strict quality requirements.

Your focus areas:

  • Craftsmanship: You assemble and test modules according to the Waters Excellence System.
  • Quality & Safety: You work error-free according to specifications and ensure a safe, tidy work environment (5S+1).
  • Continuous Improvement: You identify deviations and proactively contribute ideas on how our processes can be made even smarter and better.
  • Team spirit: You resolve minor faults independently and provide support to colleagues in other departments where needed.

Who are we looking for?

You are a born tech enthusiast with an eye for detail. You enjoy continuous development and adapting to a dynamic production environment.

  • Education: It would be great if you have an MBO-3 diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Precision Mechanics, but we consider experience more important.
  • Knowledge: You can read and understand technical drawings and instructions fluently.
  • Skills: You have experience with simple measuring tools and work accurately and independently.
  • Attitude: You are proactive, quality-conscious, and a true team player.
  • Language: Good command of the Dutch language and a basic understanding of English.

What do we offer you?

Working at Waters means working for a global leader in the life sciences industry, with the atmosphere of a close-knit, local team.

Innovative environment: A modern workplace in Drachten where creativity and personal initiative are valued.
Growth: Ample development opportunities, both within Drachten and internationally within the Waters concern.
Culture: A pleasant, informal work atmosphere with driven and engaged colleagues.
Inclusivity: A work environment where differences are celebrated and everyone has the opportunity to perform at their best.
