Job description
As a CNC Machinist/Programmer at NTS Drachten, you are at the heart of our production process. You work independently with high-quality 3- and/or 5-axis CNC machines, seamlessly switching between precise volume production and challenging NPI projects. From programming to monitoring final quality: you take responsibility for the entire process.
In this role, you will work at the highest level of precision. You will operate high-tech machinery and work with high-end clients, producing unique parts of exceptional quality. You will work with high-quality and exotic materials, making your work extra varied and technically challenging. Your contribution is directly visible, your ideas are heard, and your craftsmanship makes a difference! You will work in a compact, close-knit team with a direct and entrepreneurial atmosphere.
You work closely with engineering and work preparation to make new products manufacturable and to continuously improve processes. In a team of this size, there is room to truly specialize and contribute broadly. Precision, initiative, and collaboration are not empty words here, but the daily foundation of what we do.
Furthermore, your duties are:
- Independently set up, operate, and optimize modern CNC machines;
- Programming of complex products in CAM software, preferably TopSolid.;
- Monitoring the quality of your own work in accordance with the strict tolerances required by our high-tech customers.;
- Preparing setups and checking/confirming tools, products, and materials by reading and applying technical drawings and work instructions;
- Manufacturing unique, ultra-precise products with micron accuracy, mostly in single pieces and sometimes small series.
Job requirements
We are looking for a skilled CNC Machinist / Programmer with a proactive attitude and the following background:
- A completed technical education at MBO level 3 or 4, preferably in the direction of Machining or Mechanical Engineering;
- Demonstrable experience in the independent operation and/or programming of CNC machines.;
- Experience with CAD/CAM systems, preferably TopSolid;
- Good command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written, considering the work instructions, drawings, and communication on the work floor;
- Willingness to work two shifts (17,19% allowance) (6:00 AM to 2:30 PM and 2:15 PM to 11:00 PM, Mon–Fri).

- Salary of €3,100.00 to €4,200.00 gross per month, depending on experience and qualifications;
- Over 40 days off: 27 vacation days and 13 RVD days with a full-time employment contract;
