Our business unit Demcon Industrial Systems (DIS) develops and realizes a wide variety of projects for the (complex) machine building market. The projects range from partial development or a proof of principle setup to complete machines and total system solutions for our customers in the industry. Our projects are often at the interface of machine control, machine vision, data science, and artificial intelligence.
For our branch in Groningen we are looking for a versatile, enthusiastic software engineer.
What are you going to do?
As a software engineer, you translate customer specifications into the required software solutions. You work within a multidisciplinary team, with short lines of communication with your colleagues from the other disciplines. You structure the system design into a working machine control system. To do this, you use BRIX, our standard machine control platform based on TwinCAT 3 (ST) and Beckhoff hardware. You are involved in testing and commissioning machine controls. In addition, you are a sparring partner for your fellow engineers and the customer.
What are you bringing?
- A completed bachelor's or master's degree in a software-related technical field;
- Proven experience in a similar role within industrial automation, machine building or mechatronic systems;
- Erving with object-oriented software development;
- Experience with TwinCAT 3 (ST) and Beckhoff is desired;
- Relevant knowledge of machine vision / smart cameras is a plus;
- Relevant knowledge of machine safety, motion, drives and/or robot control is a plus.
