A day of robotics adventure

/
News / A day of robotics adventure

On Saturday 3 June, the ICD 'Robo' event took place in parallel with Philips Drachten's family day. ICD and other participating companies gave impressive demonstrations on interaction with innovative robots. As such, they provided participants with a spectacular robotics experience in which the robots almost literally got in the way of the visitors.

Various demonstrations of the latest developments in robotics were given in the SKILL building. From industrial applications to advanced healthcare robots, there was something to see for everyone. A highlight was the demonstration of the Spot robot, which effortlessly walked up and down stairs, surprising young and old alike.

According to the visitors, it was fascinating to see these technological advances up close and learn more about the robot industry and the technologies involved. The day was not only informative, it was also inspiring and entertaining for all attendees.

No worries if you missed this event. There are more to come. Keep an eye on our website and social media for future updates and announcements of future events. We are committed to keeping our members and those interested involved in Philips’ innovations and technological developments.

Special thanks to the participants for their contribution to the robot demonstration: Philips, BD Kiestra, Beenen, FMI Improvia, STORK, Variass, Ventura, XPAR Vision, RUG, NHL Stenden, Hanze Hogeschool, DFKI Bremen, Demcon, Saxion and Omron
