HR Manager Sieta Woudman of Neopost is proud: ,,The first batch of technicians on the course work at various companies of Innovatiecluster Drachten. In this way we offer our people a training close to home that increases their knowledge and also strengthens the quality of our work." Groningen to set up the course. According to Woudman, the threshold to follow a four-year HBO course is too high for many employees. "Now we offer technicians from all our ICD companies the opportunity to increase their knowledge."
The course is composed with components at HBO level. After successful completion, the participants are eligible for exemptions for further training. Woudman explains that developing a full-fledged HBO education is complex and takes a long time. ,,That's why we first opted for this course.'' The training lasts a year and a half with one afternoon and evening lecture every week. These are taught by teachers from the Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen at Neopost in Drachten. Woudman: ,,Mathematics and Electrical Engineering are the first modules that our technicians go through. If the course is a success, there is a good chance that we will have a group of technicians start again next school year."
