The ICD celebrates 10 years of innovation with book launch and grand finale

News | September 12, 2025

Today, Friday, September 12, at the SKILL building in Drachten, we celebrated the festive closing of the anniversary year. This year was dedicated to 10 years of innovation, cooperation and high-tech development in the Northern Netherlands.

A year full of highlights

The anniversary year had several milestones:

  • The successful national congress Autonomous Systems on April 2.
  • The launch of the new ICD logo on May 8.
  • The first presentation of the ICD Student Award on July 10.

As icing on the cake, today at the closing event, the book “10 years of innovation at ICD” presented. This book, written by Berend Henk Huizing, looks back on the development of the cluster and the impact that ICD has made with its affiliates and partners in the region. Berend Henk presented the first 2 booklets to chairman of the ICD, Binne Visser, and Councilman Pieter van der Zwan.
