Municipalities in the Northern Netherlands must do more to accommodate expats, highly educated foreigners who come to work in the part of the country temporarily.
So says chairman Ineke Dezentjé Hamming-Bleumink of FME-CWM, the employers' organization for the technology industry.
According to her, it is of the utmost importance for northern high-tech companies to make it attractive for highly skilled foreign workers to settle temporarily. That, Dezentjé said, is primarily a task for municipalities.
