It has been revealed and we are very proud of our Solar Boat! Friday afternoon 27 May at Whisper Power in Drachten the boys from the Solar Team showed our boat, which we will race in the Dutch Solar Challenge 2016.
We start in Amsterdam on July 2 for a trip through the canals and sprint races on the IJ River. Then the Dutch Solar Challenge caravan moves to Fryslân for the first stage from Lemmer to Drachten on July 5. In Drachten the next day are again sprint races. In the Thalenpark in Drachten is the paddock of the Dutch Solar Challenge. Here all solar boats can be admired and the teams tinker with their craft for the best performance. From July 7, the boats sail through Fryslân via several stages to Leeuwarden where the race finishes on July 9 in De Prinsentuin.
