These words were spoken by Mr. prof.dr.ing. Jan Post on Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2016, during his oration for his inauguration as the first Professor of Digital Manufacturing at the University of Groningen. Jan Post worked for thirty years at Philips in Drachten where he was at the forefront of the development of new products and materials. He developed the computer models that mimic the production process of Philips' current digital factory in Drachten.
