On Feb. 18, Innovatiecluster Drachten (ICD) was represented at the Delft Career Days. This is one of the largest career events in the Netherlands. With our members SRON and Philips Drachten, we were at the orientation days of this three-day event, which annually hosts more than 150 companies and thousands of students from the Tu Delft attracts.

High interest in career opportunities outside the Randstad region
Our booth was crowded with enthusiastic students orienting themselves to internships, graduate projects and future career opportunities. SRON and Philips Drachten attracted a lot of interest, but what was particularly striking was the growing interest in companies outside the Randstad. Many students were surprised by the innovative high-tech sector in the Northern Netherlands and the opportunities that lie here within our ecosystem.

ICD as gateway to high-tech innovation in the North
The presence of this ICD team at the event contributed to the visibility of our cluster and high-tech opportunities in the northern part of the country. Through direct conversations with students, we were able to show that there are plenty of challenging and innovative career opportunities in the Northern Netherlands. This not only helps with awareness of the cluster. This also helps attract young high-tech talent to our region!
With our participation in the Delft Career Days, we continue to build a strong connection between talent and the innovative companies within ICD. We look forward to future events in which we once again show what the Northern Netherlands has to offer in terms of high-tech innovation!
