News / ICD Zwaan sticks to it: collaborating in the region

On Wednesday, March 18th, a special ICD activity took place: the ‘Zwaan Kleef Aan’ meeting. During this edition, ICD companies invited a friendly company from the region. Additionally, various startups joined. This resulted in a broad and inspiring group of participants. Before the guest speaker took the floor, the guests from the friendly companies were introduced by their hosts.

Inspiring look from sister clusters

Guest speaker Sjoerd Keijser, program manager for both Perron038 as INoordoostpolder Innovation Cluster, The attendees were taken through their working methods. He provided a clear behind-the-scenes look at these sister clusters, with a focus on regional collaboration. Moreover, his presentation offered concrete examples and practical insights.

Valuable discussion and new ideas

A lively discussion followed. Participants addressed how ICD can engage more companies in the future and whether a large expansion is desirable. Opportunities to strengthen existing collaborations were also explored. This yielded valuable ideas and new perspectives.

Connecting during an Indonesian rijsttafel

Finally, the meeting continued during a joint Indonesian "rijsttafel" (a Dutch-Indonesian feast) in the SKILL building. In an informal atmosphere, further discussions and networking took place. These are precisely the moments that strengthen the mutual bond.

Worth repeating

All in all, it was a successful and inspiring meeting. A powerful example of how ‘follow the leader’ works in practice. Definitely worth repeating!
