News / VDH Products nominated for 'Drenste Company of the Year'

Last year, our cooperation partner resato from Assen won the prestigious title. And this year, another company from our Innovatiecluster Drachten is one of the nominees.

Which VDH Products is among the nominees is no surprise to Joost Krebbekx, program manager Innovatiecluster Drachten. ,,The company has been demonstrating for decades that it is a successful company in Drenthe, selling products and services all over the world in an innovative way. Not for nothing is VDH a valued partner in our business cluster.’’

Pride
Drenthe has more than 40,000 companies. According to the “Drenthe Enterprise of the Year” Foundation” all companies to be proud of. By awarding this title every year, the organization shows its admiration and appreciation for all the various companies in Drenthe. The prize should emphasize the importance of good entrepreneurship for the economy and employment in Drenthe.

Innovative and creative
An important criterion for eligibility for the title is that activities are undertaken from a clear strategic vision and in a creative and innovative manner. Of course, socially and sustainably responsible entrepreneurship and thus financial success also play a role.

Nominees
Out of a total of 78 entries, the jury selected ten companies to compete for the title (in alphabetical order): De Bonte Wever (Assen), Dijk Natural Collections (Coevorden), Kumoweld (Assen), NewComm IT (Assen), New Nexus (Tynaarlo), Proxcys BV (Nieuw-Amsterdam), Ultraware (Assen), Vasco Games (Emmen), VDH Products BV (Roden) and Vepa Project Furniture (Hoogeveen).

Final
These ten companies will attend the ‘nomination meeting’ on October 4, where they will have the opportunity to present themselves. This presentation will be considered by the jury in deciding which three companies may call themselves finalists and will be in the finals on Thursday, Nov. 15, at the Atlas Theater in Emmen.
