Research, development, production, sales and marketing are therefore all carried out internally. Our daily functioning is characterized by teamwork and short lines of communication. Spark is looking for colleagues who can contribute to further expanding its current market position in a high-tech but informal environment.

As an account manager you will work in the high-tech and dynamic working environment of Spark Holland, within an informal and committed Sales & Marketing team. The team maintains contacts with both existing relationships and prospects. These leading companies often operate in the analytical industry (chromatography and mass spectrometry), but Spark also supplies various other segments in the analytical industry.

What are you going to do?

The aim of the account manager position is to generate turnover through very strong relationship management, and to realize up- and cross-sell opportunities with existing partners. Our partners are mainly located in Europe and the United States, and we also work with partners in China. You regularly visit customers and attend trade fairs abroad. In the role of account manager, you supervise various projects and ensure coordination between the customer and the internal organization. You ensure that proposals are sent to the customer under the most optimal conditions and you supervise the projects internally. In addition to account management, you are partly responsible for developing and expanding new and existing markets.

Who are we looking for?

You are perfect for this role if you have a passion for technology and in particular high-quality laboratory instruments. You are attracted to further developing yourself and delving into these techniques and you are ready for a second step in your career. Do you also have control over the entire sales process from quotation to delivery and do you enjoy selling high-quality analytical equipment internationally? Then this is your job!

What do we expect from you?

  • Completed HBO or WO education, for example Industrial Engineering or Analytical Chemistry
  • Sales experience in a technical industry is an advantage
  • Knowledge of and insight into logistics, purchasing and quality processes
  • Excellent knowledge of the Dutch and English language, knowledge of the German language is an advantage

The function

As an account manager you are responsible for the following tasks:

  • Intensive management of existing international accounts
  • Identifying market potential and qualifying accounts, possibly in the form of a strategic account plan / annual account plan
  • Preparing, following up and supervising various orders
  • Exploring new markets and expanding existing relationships
