The Innovatiecluster Drachten has had another company since Tuesday, Oct. 28: YP Your Partner. By being part of the Innovatiecluster Drachten, YP Your Partner, in cooperation with the Municipality of Smallingerland and the Province of Fryslân, is helping to put the Drachten region on the map as innovative, technological and knowledge-intensive. Attracting highly skilled personnel and exchanging knowledge and experience are concrete goals in this regard.
The Innovatiecluster Drachten now has 11 participating companies. Mayor of the Municipality of Smallingerland, Tjeerd van Bekkum, put YP Your Partner in touch with the Innovatiecluster Drachten. One of the reasons for this was the difficulty in finding highly skilled personnel in and around the Drachten region. In addition, according to Theun Prins, it is important for companies to join forces in order to come up with new concepts. “After all, this is the time of smart cooperation,” said Theun Prins.
