Sparck Technologies, based in Drachten, is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. What started with a clog machine in 1924 has grown into a pioneer in high-tech packaging systems for large e-commerce companies such as Mediamarkt and Blokker. Their latest achievement involves a partnership with a Coca-Cola bottling company in Florida.

In the past six months, major multinationals such as Nike, Adidas, Apple and IKEA have shown interest in Sparck's advanced packaging technology. This technology, which scans products three-dimensionally and packs them in seconds, reduces the need for labor and lowers transportation costs through efficient use of space. This not only offers a sustainable solution for e-commerce companies but also an answer to the current tight labor market.

With a history dating back to its founding by ironsmith Heert de Wit, Sparck Technologies continues to innovate and expand internationally, with a turnover target of 100 million euros within two years.
